Obviously this is a bit more than just a simple shipping container, but a cool idea none-the-less. We love how it closes up and becomes totally secure. You might even want to paint it to blend in with surroundings, and hardscape the roof so it’s not visible from the air.

What a great bugout or long-term survival retreat. Connect heat and/or a power source, water, sanitation and store some food. This place will stand indefinitely.
